Texas woman hospitalized for mercury poisoning linked to cosmetic products purchased in Mexico
The Texas Department of State Health Services is warning consumers after a woman was hospitalized with mercury poisoning after using a cosmetic product from Mexico.The Texas woman was hospitalized after a pharmacy in Mexico mixed a face cream, apparently adding mercury to a name brand product, according to the DSHS.
'Remote' pharmacies bill OK'd by Michigan Legislature
People could pick up prescriptions at Michigan pharmacies that are not staffed by an on-site pharmacist under a bill that cleared the Legislature on Wednesday and will go to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer for her signature.The measure would allow for "remote" pharmacies, which proponents support as a way to expand access to pharmacy services and improve health outcomes in rural and underserved areas.
USDA, FDA, EPA Launch Website for Biotechnology Regulation
